Strip mall
Let’s see. Best Buy? Borders? Nordstrom Rack? We‘d guess NOT, but there is a little strip mall going up along the South Shore Road. Greenleaf Commons, across the street from Palm Plaza where Simple Feast is/was/will be, is going to be a strip of commercial and office space. With parking. We hear nothing about the tenants, but the sign says coming Fall 2007.

When are the people on STJ going to realize that there is a limit to how many houses, rental cars,
and two lane roads, one small island can handle?
I can see some real nasty problems lurking.

What is that light blue building at the right of the first frame? I haven’t been to St. John in almost 2 years and I don’t think that was there. Thanks!

The light blue buildings you see in the photo are long term rental apartments, primarily leased to Westin Resort employees. These apartments are owned by Greenleaf Commons, the same folks who are building the Strip Mall, across from Palm Plaza.

If we’ve learned anything about building stuff on St. John (thanks Jeff and Russ), we won’t have to worry about this place nearing completion any time soon. Fall 2007 = Summer 2008.
