Beach Break: Salomon Beach

This week’s Beach Break is one of St. John’s most beautiful beaches, and it’s also one of the least people-lated. There’s frequently very few people on this beach. For one reason: You either have to boat there or walk there. If you’re rich, anchor your multi-million dollar yacht or sailboat just off the beach. If you’re not, dinghy in, or hike in. It’s an easy, easy hike on the Lind Point Trail that you can pick up by the National Park Dock across from Mongoose Junction. Today, we’ll walk there. (It’s really more of of a sort of long walk, not a hike.) Salomon Beach Break here.

Can I mention here that last summer, my wife and I got lost hiking from Solomon to Honeymoon? I already did? Oh boy.
Yup…we, and by we, I mean I, took a wrong turn and took a rather long tromp through the woods only to end up at the other side of Solomon. We appeared out of the woods and wondered why Honeymoon suddenly looked exactly like Solomon and why the people who had previously been on the other side of the beach had followed us.
Then we realized that I’m an idiot.

Bravo! Salomon is an amazing beach. I loved the music choice this week also, do you mind saying who that is?
I’m working on a new playlist for the next adventure and I need some fresh tunes

I’m catching up on the Beach Breaks. Fun stuff on a Saturday morning. I usually check the site on my BlackBerry and no video for me, yet.

    Cheers, RickG
