Last combo plate for Polli’s

Polli’s Mexican restaurant is gone. The second story, pitch black, air-conditioned restaurant with the outside patio with wonderful views of the power lines and a bank of video poker machines has closed. One less review from Charlie that will get posted. It wasn’t entirely flattering anyway. (But the fajitas and cheese dip were great.) This is a big space, and will apparently be divvied up into more than one new retailer. A nail salon has already leased part of the space. That leaves Margarita Phil’s (which hasn’t been getting good reviews lately) and JJ’s as the current Tex-Mex outposts. Are we missing any?

Nail salon? For Cripe’s sake, those things grow on trees.

Never made it to Polli’s. We tried, but couldn’t get served. That, as I mentnioned, led us to JJ’s, our favoritest spot to eat on St John.
