Even if you bring in food to eat, the only drinks available are at the cafeteria. They should sell bottled water, etc. at the gift shop like every other airport in the world. I think it's called Ashley's. You can get a chicken, beef, or shrimp roti and beer, or a mixed drink, and it's are all cheaper and better then anything inside! Then a stop at the Deli at Mongoose and pack a sandwich to go. Plus the bakery items are amazing - but wrap them well or you'll have a "butter" spot in your bag. Our operating strategy is to eat breakfast before leaving St. John and then forgo food until we get home around midnight. It makes for a long and hungry day.
