Beach Break: Maho Beach

Today’s Beach Break is Maho Beach, just before Francis and a lot easier to get to by road. Park legally when you get there, although you won’t know if you’re parking legally since there are no signs. This Beach Break’s a little short on content. We were on the far side of the beach when we noticed that our boat, all the way at the other end, was happily bobbing up and down all by itself about 10 yards off the beach. (If you’re going to leave your boat, make sure it is pulled far enough up on the beach). After running down the beach screaming like little girls, we thought it best to just leave. (We promise a Maho mulligan soon.) Two minutes at Maho below!

Thanks so much for your Beach Breaks. They make watching our snow melt in Rochester, NY a bit easier to tolerate. Can’t wait to get there in June to enjoy the real thing. This site is really a great way to help those of us that would love to be there feel a bit of the Island warmth. Thanks again!

Maho wsa the first beach we stopped at our first day on the island. We had been out Coral Bay way just to get a look around and we came back the North Shore road. We backed in to a tree, I mean parking spot, across the street. I wonder if that was legal?

Watch out for the mosquitoes by the illegal parking lot if you’re there near sundown. Absolutely evil. I still hear about it from the group.

We saw a “flock” of squids there. That was cool.

I really wanted video of you guys chasing down the run-away dingy. Dang. I can so see that happening to us!

Keep ‘em coming. Your videos really make my day.

Thanks for providing me (and apparently quite a few others) with a favorite daily diversion. You have upped the quality of marketing/communications on and for St. John by leaps and bounds. LOVE the dinghy cam. It’s an innovation worthy of a technology-achievement award! Like the others, waiting for the footage of you guys running toward your boat, screaming like girls.

Enjoy the beach breaks very much. The music however is distracting. I’ve always enjoy just the sound of the water. Just my opinion. Keep them coming!

Agree — the sound of waves and birds and kids laughing in the distance is perfect. Music makes it more like a commercial. Either way, keep ‘em coming! And thanks!
