A one drugstore town
Chelsea Drug Store is the only game in town now. The drugstore next door to Dolphin Market is closed, but will soon re-open. This time as an optometrist’s store called St. John Eye Care. This may not seem like a big addition, but it is. For all the island residents who wear glasses, or will someday need to, this means one less reason to have to schlep over to St. Thomas. Opening date? Soon come.

Only one? I’m going to have to look into this. I could swear I’ve sent things to more than one pharmacy on St John.
Did I just incriminate myself somehow?

Does anyone have a phone number for this new business? They better have the most up-to-date technology available, because I plan on being the first customer in line for the new contact lenses that will make this “going blind at age 47″ thing bearable. Puh-lease.

I visited Dr. Friedenberg. Let me tell you, my friends, if you are a contact lens wearer for distance and are over 40 and suddenly find yourself unable to read anything without reading glasses: Run, do not walk, to your local eye doctor on St. John or anywhere. Dr. Friedenberg gave me new contact lenses and I was back at work in forty-five minutes reading credit card printouts and bank statements. I was astounded.
