After going through the roundabout to get to the gas station, having a cold one while you wait in line for gas might not be a bad idea. The lady in the grocery store had to teach me how to put my debit card through the machine, and I paid cash for months at the gas station because I was afraid of the credit card thing. Yeah, sure, it's faster, but where do you need to get to so quickly on St. John? Why not enjoy the breeze, the flowers, and the people you meet as you wait? I'll take people-interaction any day over speed. After being on St. John for 15 years and moving to the States 2 years ago I had to learn how to do all that self-serve crap.
