What’s up with US Airways
A bad flight is one thing. When it seems to be happening a lot, that’s a real problem. We’ve had bad luck 3 times in the last 3 months with US Airways flights. All of them delays in St. Thomas, in our case because the arriving flight from Philadelphia was late. And two of those three times, those delays were compounded by missing connections in Philadelphia. Just bad luck we figured. But then there was THIS! posted on the usvi-on-line forum. Gads. That is the worst St. Thomas Airport story I’ve ever heard. Like I said. A bad flight is one thing. Lots of them, that’s an ongoing problem. “The people of US Airways area dedicated to meeting our customers’ needs. We did not do that in the first quarter of 2007 and are taking the necessary steps to improve our performance,” said US Airways chief executive Doug Parker in a news release last week. I havent purchased air for when I come to stay at your house in Nov. I am going to steer clear of them. I have only flown them once, I we were delayed by several hours.

Nothing is more frustrating than having your flight cancelled. But, rather than being locked in the STT airport, suffering without food, water, & sleep, I think I would have bitten the bullet and checked into a STT hotel near the airport and made the best of it.
“We sat in the airport from 1 pm Sunday until 12:00 am Monday morning when a plane finally came to take us to Philly.”

US Air sucks balls. Pardon my language, but there’s no other way t say it. And PHL sucks balls worse than US Air. Put them together, and…you know…

I never had a problem with US Air or Philly airport. American sucks balls because they don’t have a direct flight. Connect through San Juan or Miami, no thanks. Continental has a direct out of Newark, but Newark sucks big balls. I’m on a roll with US Air and have enough FF miles for one more first class RT. After that its Spirit.
