Beach Break: Privateer Beach

Privateer Bay is an East End development made up of a few big building lots with some absolutely gorgeous views. As members of the homeowners association, those owners get access to two adorable little cottages (Newfound Cottages) right on the beach. These cottages are also occasionally for rent. Directions to Privateer Bay: Drive past Skinny Legs and keep driving until you can’t drive any farther. Spend a couple of minutes at “Privateer Beach” (that’s what we call it anyway) on Long Bay below!

Thanks for the Beach Break. I bet a couple days in one of those Cottages could do wonders for someones stress level. Looks Beautiful!

Well, watching that was extremely difficult. I think the only solution is to go there and get over my strife.

Nice spot, worth a stop in October. By the way, we sported our on-stjohn.com t-shirt last week on island. Good news, we were not mobbed by paparazi!

    Cheers, RickG

I’ll bet you are not brave enough to add this to your list of comments. I cannot imagine more MIS-INFORMATION is such a short document.
#1. Your video is of Long Bay Beach, not Privateer Bay Beach, a private vehicular access beach about a mile away! #2. The Cottages are NOT for rent. #3. Your directions are misleading, which is OK because we, residents of Privateer Bay, take a lot of trouble to get all the way out here for a little privacy and to get away from cars & traffic and do not appreciate websites like this putting us on the sightseeing/tourist circuit.
    A Privateer Bay resident~

Why wouldn’t we post your comments? Thank you for the correction.
