Beach Break: Hawksnest BeachThis is just our opinion, but there’s a good time to go to Hawksnest and a bad time. Bad time: Afternoon. Good time: Morning. Best time: Early morning. One of my favorites…especially for an early morning swin just as the sun is rising over that hill….

Very nice! I actually saw you guys filming this beach break, if you filmed it the same day as the summer ale ad. I guess I should have said hello, but I didn’t want to interrupt your filming.

This was a great beach break. Can the water be anymore beautiful? I plan on looking at this beach break during January!

August 2004: We’d arrived the day before and our 2 friends were 1st time StJ visitors. All they’d seen to date was the cab ride to Red Hook, the ferry, Duffy’s (the StJ one) and our house. I finally dragged them to the jeep and went to Hawksnest. I ushered them to the beach and announced: This is why we came here!
They were hooked.
