‘Shroom ‘shroom…

Attention foodies: Dried mushrooms available. Starfish Market now has a rack of dried ‘shrooms, from a company called Earthy Delights. If you’re excited about this, you are planning to put WAY too much work into your villa meals. Choices range from $5.79 dried Oysters to $28.15 for a bag of wild Morels.

Fresh portolbellos, $19.49 per pound this week.

Coming soon: Iconic island business about to be listed for sale. Could be your chance!

Is this the funny Starfish story you promised? If so the humor escapes me ;) Hmmm.. no grilled Portobellos for us in November. Will buy a real steak instead!

Business for sale???? Are Ruth and Ron selling? Planning to live the high life in Time Out forever?????

PS - Jeff and Russ, not to scare you or anything, but you were in my dream last night! Sheesh-my head is super mixed up these days I think!

Oooh, good word, “iconic”. It’s not us, though.
    It has to be this:
o An important and enduring symbol
    OR
o One who is the object of great attention and devotion; an idol.
Who could it be?! Is it on St. John?
    -Ruth (still in Time Out)

I hear the best “Shrooms” are on Tortola at the Bomba Shack.

Fresh Portabella mushrooms are available at Starfish Market, at a resonable price - they are great cooked on the grill & are the closest thing to a steak for a vegitarian. The prices on the new “dried speciality rack” are just too steep for my taste.

Not that anyone would lift shrooms on St. John, but at those prices I would display them at the check-out counter in a glass case under lock & key!
No mushrooms in my spaghetti next week . . .

Interesting note regarding the “iconic” business.

I’m trying to think iconic, perhaps the Smoothie Truck? or maybe Skinny Legs? Beach Bar?

I know Moe talked a few years back on leaving island. I can never see that happening.
I could see Todd sell his part in Woody’s to his bro.
The biz’s I know for sale
    Baked in the Sun
    Gym in paradise

Can not wait for you to reveal this one Jeff and Russ

Hmmm, I still have a business card from the “Mushroom Man” on Tortola. Maybe he just needs a nice point of sale display like this one to drum up more business?

    Cheers, RickG
