What’s a Wally Pool?

Here is the ubiquitous “Wally Pool.” These fiberglass pools are at dozens of mostly older villas on St. John, and there is a great story about how they ended up being so widely used on St. John. Wanna hear about it? Stay tuned. We talk to the “Wally” behind Wally Pools next week On-StJohn.

you know, I always look at these things and think “what is that????”. Interested to hear more and finally determine if I should avoid places with these pools or not. Looks like a bath tub!

Fair or unfair, I avoid these pools when choosing a villa. Maybe your interview will change my mind.

I’ve stayed in villas with Wally pools and they’re perfectly fine for dipping and cooling off with a cocktail in hand. I’m interested in hearing about the backstory!

    Hey guys

How about just publishing the story instead of counting these “teasers” as the story of the day? These don’t count.

I, too, have cast a sideways glance at any house with one of these. Of course, I believe the house we’re renting in NC in s few weeks has one.

the houses are definetly worth the visit, not necessarily for the pools but for the experience of a life time. and the pools are good.

Yeah, and what’s the matter with plastic furniture. Gallows has that type of pool. It’s still a pool. Come to SoCal and you’ll be invited to a concrete pool. It’s so hot today that it looks other than putting the ribs on smoker, that’s where I’m spending my day, in the pool. Margaritas at high noon.
