Cruz Bay cruise

If you’re new, here’s a quick introduction to the Cruz Bay loop. If you’re not, you’ll enjoy the quick drive around familiar territory. We’ll start at the Texaco station and end up at Mongoose Junction. We’ll point out the must-see spots along the way. (Got a drive you want us to take? Tell us. This stuff’s easy!) Jump in the back seat. The Cruz Bay Cruise, below….

Thank you so much for the awesome video. You guys have made me so incredibly “home”sick. I can’t wait ’til our place is finished – two more months!!!! Maybe you can swing up 104 by our place and send us video progress :-)

I really liked this one guys. It seemed like yall were hauling butt down those streets. I’ll have to cheak out Nature’s Nook in Nov. because I’ve never been there before. Great idea to do a drive. Maybe you can show us how to REALLY get to Little Lamshur! I get so confused when I get Off my Beaten Path, even with the book. Grat start to a great weekend!

It’s good to see “Car Cam” back in action.
Don’t forget to do the scariest places to take a car in STJ

I just want to point out some of the old “belongers” hang outs were not pointed out – on the drive throughout Cruz Bay! Mooies, Fred’s, Caps, Patrick’s.

I fear with the development of new condos and new residents, there will be a sadness of old businesses being pushed out for new, fancy, fru-fru, yuppie boutiques!

Even with the above said, keep up the good work, I did enjoy my ride around Cruz Bay!

LOVE this concept. It’s good for helping newbies find their way around, and for us oldies to get a refresher and see what’s happening around town. My only suggestion would be to take things a bit slower if you can! Like your “Beach Breaks” these could be a fantastic regular segment!

Other ideas might be local grocery stores and necessity stops, northshore road, coral bay (lots new there!) Maybe even show how to ride the ferry? Just some thoughts!

    Love your show babe!

That was really fun! I’d like to see more of these car cams. How about a trip down the John Head Road? Now THAT would be an interesting video!

Right before the Fish Trap, I added an arrow saying “Where Rob busted a tail light on his jeep while backing into a truck”.

Bobby at St John Car Rental fixed it for $20. Yay for Bobby

You started off at the old Texaco station but didn’t really show the construction there, I’m curious to see what it looks like.

Ok, I’ll admit it, I want you to find the library for me! My partner and I (both librarians) have tried to find it on numerous times! Please, please, please! And if you find it and they have a job opening…

    Jen,
The library is across from Tradewinds Bldg and Tamarind. It is up the one way St and you will see across from Tradewinds Bldg and up from Tamarind a parking lot. The ACC (animal care center) and the library are both in there

LOVED your new feature … car cam, it’s so much fun! Ya gotta do something about that inspection sticker on the dash, it’s in the way! I think you should design a helmet for Russ to wear with the camera attached. He could even have a sippy cup hooked on his belt with a tube to keep him totally hands free. Or, strap him on the hood of the car! Heck, he could even hang out the car window with his tonge hanging out!

I liked how you ignored the STOP sign near the Catholic Church …

    Thanks for keeping us entertained!

Wow, i freaked out when i saw this! A few years ago, i cam-cordered my way from Sloop Jones to Cruz Bay – nonstop. It turned out really cool too! Altho when i watch it now it makes me a little sea sick. My camera wobbled a bit too with every sip of punch, hehehe!

Way to Go! That was a crash course on driving 101 on St. John roads. You do need to slow down a little and try to zoom in on the dining establishments so new comers know what to look for. For us, just returning from our second home in July it was a moment to remember – and wait until next year to see the progress in keeping St. John the “old” St. John and not to get COMMERCIALIZED. That would ruin everything!!! Thanks again for the memory!
