Arrival and departure improvements

Luggage claim is back to 100 percent at Cyril E. King Airport. By that we mean both luggage belts are running. This may seem insignificant, but considering how long one of the two belts was down, it’s a big deal. And when we most recently flew out, two screening lines were moving right along, and all 8 Customs stations were open. So contrary to what you may be hearing, things seem to be getting better, not worse at the airport. Now about the size of those welcome rum punches…

Good………I was worried since I am scheduling my trip now….
Can’t you just get unlimited rum punch….maybe that is why the belts were broken so long……the workers drinkin too much rum punch………lol

Maybe I’m odd (no commentary) but the airport doesn’t bother me much. I am usually frazzled as hell when I travel for work, but allow myself to cease all frazzlement when I arrive in STT. It’s the perfect embodiment of Island Time if you ask me. Frustrating? Maybe, but if even I can chill and wait for my bags anyone can.

We need to get Wade (the Shark) a job at the airport. I’m sure efficiency would improve if Wade was “Baggin’”, “Checkin’” “Greetin’” and “Pourin’” the drinks!

Didn’t matter to me if it was one belt or two working. it’s still 45 mins. to get my one checked bag.

Going thru security was crazy quick on 8/28, but something was going on that day. All stations at AA manned, lines moved fast, luggage tagged real quick, all customs booths manned, TSAs were on their toes, nice even, moving lines along, all carry on and luggage Xray lines open, manned by at least 2 people, etc.
Then I saw a gaggle of suits, some with clipboards, one even taking photos etc.
Maybe some kind of audit or something? Whatever -from curb to the “other side of the glass” in like 20 min, even with at least 3 planes queing up for departure.

    Hmm…

Maybe I can order one of those audits for 10/22…
