Billy Goat Bluff

Look closely. See the goat teetering on that rock? This is on the Western edge of Cruz Bay just as you’re heading out. One boat captain says that goat is there more days than not and he’s always alone. And so the name: Billy Goat Bluff. If you go out on a charter, ask your captain to run by here on the way out. He’s a funny goat (but he’s never going to meet Mrs. Right spending all his time out there on a rock.)

About getting a girlfriend— That goat might get lucky! Look what happened with Wade the Shark!

In St. John he’s more likely to get a little A$$.

Great photo. That goat was there in the same place in 2005 when we were on island last. A person was hanging out on the beach watching when he pointed the goat out to us. Keep the news coming. We just made our reservation for our next trip last week.

It’s a good thing “it” lives in St. John, where restaurants do not serve “Fricase de Chevre”.

…those Disney Animatronics are so lifelike..you would swear it was a real goat… the days he’s not on the rocks, he’s in for repairs. I think the VITRAN people take care it.

Great shot - we love pics of wildlife (hint, hint, and I don’t mean the human kind).
I second the recommendation for Sogos. My husband likes their goat stew and I usually get whatever fish dish they have that day. The food is authentic West Indian and its great. A nice meal (several side dishes included) for a reasonable price.
