Beach Break: Dreekets Bay

We’re taking you to the East End again today. This is beautiful Dreekets Bay. The guide books say it’s a great snorkeling and dive spot. The turquoise color of the water is amazing. FYI: The overhead shots were taken from a house called The Retreat. Dreekets Bay, below.

Great job, as usual, guys. Thank you! Say, could you do a splash of a map with an arrow pointing to the beach at the beginning of the videos? I’ve never heard of Dreekets and am curious where it is (and how to get to it, of course).

I had the pleasure of snorkeling at Drekeets twice last month. It has become my all time favorite snorkel spot.
Love your website. Our house on “the other island” is finally complete–27 months after breaking ground. Here’s to island time…

    Beautiful beach. Thanks!

It would be helpful if you included a short clip of a St. John map with a red x locating the beach. Then we could get a better idea of what we’re looking at and where.

    Thanks,

    Homer

While traveling away from home (St. John) to Sao Paulo, Brazil, the worlds thrid largest city …. I REALLY needed this beach break. by the way, it is also know as Haul Over, due to the fact that in the olden days, when only sail existed, it was faster to haul your boat over from the north side of the island to the south side. It is the isthmus ofn St. John.
