Skip the stop at the store
The caterers on St. John aren’t just for people looking for chefs, fancy meals or wedding cakes. They’ll go to the grocery store for you too. We use Christy’s of St. John (since she’s On-StJohn.com’s “official caterer”) but most of them will do this. Just email a shopping list and it’ll be in the frig, freezer and cabinets waiting for you. It’s a really nice treat for the first night at least. Everything you see in that frig we emailed the day before. Right down to the Irish butter. (Oh…most also have menus you can order from that include snack platters. Get a couple of those. They’ll last you days.)

We have also had our frig stocked!! So nice after a long flight, etc to get to villa and unwind knowing you don’t have to go to the grocery!!! We have always used Katilady and have also had dinner and dessert waiting for us, just heat & eat! Wonderful service!!

I just can’t say enough great things about Christy’s of St john. They do a wonderful job! We will continue to use her for our trips. The platters are the bomb and the cinnamon coffee cake with strawberries and brown sugar is just what you need. It is just wonderful. We are going to ship our stuff that won’t fit into our quart ziploc bag to her ahead of time for this next trip. That will make carrying on our luggage easier. It is a new service Susie is offering tohelp you out. You just call her and let her know you are shipping to her and you can send your luggage ahead, or baby formula, etc. I believe the cost is 20 or 25 dollars. Go check it out on the website. She is really a sweet lady and works really hard for you. You can tell when you meet her that she really loves what she does. Give her a try, you won’t be sorry!

We ordered basics (you know, booze and snacks) ahead of time for the past 4 trips – it is great.

3 things struck me:
1: Someone had a beer
2: The water in the gallon jug. Instant STJ Reminder
3: The seltzer: Mrs. Rob does not like that kind. We make our own. But, it’s what I mix my rum with when I’m there

looks only to be 11 beers or is that 8…wasn’t that suppose to be a 12 pack?

Couldnt believe when we saw our fave butter Kerry Gold at Starfish last month for cheaper than at home. Go figure. I guess STJ is closer to Ireland…
