Go too early and you return to months of cold dreary misery. Go too late and you'll go insane waiting, and then come back and it's already spring. It's best to keep the waiting/anticipation to a managable amount, then return to bit more winter with spring not too far off. Cut that nasty winter right in half! That means late February or early March. It may be high season, it may be spring break, but that's what works. Can't wait... Still off season, everything is open getting ready for the season to start and great weather and warm water.
