When I asked them what was down there, they said "It's a private beach" with a hint of: Don't go down there... it's not for tourists. Always wondered if this was the secret nude beach. Thanks for the peek... Saw a few people coming up the trail to Peace Hill with towels and lawn chairs. Please confine your visit to the area between the sea and the line of first vegetation. Lots of info at www.seestjohn.com Excerpt from Off The Beaten Path:

On the advice of a local friend, we somehow managed to get into the surf and enjoy the wonderful look back toward this beach. Worth the trip. They said you may have to get to the beach from the water if the beach is surrounded by private property but that all beaches were public property. So, my question is....is this the truth???? However, to control rumors, Kenny was not married on this beach. He was married on a hilltop location and later photogarphed on this beach after he was married. I agree it is a beautiful beach. Makes a nice swim, beach break, swim back kind of trip. To make your trip 100% legal, snorkel there from Jumbie. Makes a nice swim, beach break, swim back kind of trip.

My office computer has no sound, but I'm home today & enjoying my escape! Think I'll have to get sick every Wed from now on... I must say, beach break w/sound is so much more enjoyable! I was there last May with a group of people. We were scolded by a guy not to go near the turtles (even though we had not intentions). There was a rowdy group of 20 somethings drinking losts of beer. It was a great spot! I had no idea it was potentially 'illegal'! Great BB! I was there last May with a group of people. This is the beach I went to and never talked about because people either said "don't go there, it's illegal" or "don't tell anyone about it, we like it too much." Beautiful beach break and nice work!
