Does the old blue chair convey?

The big real estate sale this month was the closing on Kenny Chesney’s Upper Peter Bay land, a beautiful spot where he was known to have had alfresco jam sessions. It sold for just under $6.6 million, below its $8.5 million asking price. (The land was on the market for about 22 months and was originally listed at $11 million.) The 2.9 acres was purchased in 2004 for just under $5 million, so he made out okay.
All we know about the buyer is that he or she is obviously really rich.
There were plans for a house here, but the deal fell apart when Kenny refused to let her paint the bedroom yella. (Wouldn’a hurt nothin.)

I think I’ll transfer my real estate license to the VIs. Surely a couple of sales like that would give me plently of beach time.

Love the “yella”/wouldn’a hurt nothin!! You captured that song perfectly!! Love your sense of humor!

I was trying to remember what song that was……….6.6 million is not bad. I figured he would get around 7.5 or closer to 8 million.
I was surprised that Mugar got 14 million for the house he has in lower PB………nice house but not sure it is worth 14 million.
Must be nice to have that kind of income!……

I wish you hadn’t revealed what I paid for this parcel of land!

With the recent property tax increased to a bizillion dollars on St. John - you all are helping the VI government with a new generation of tax dollars and the increased “BIG” budget for next year!

Does he have another place on STJ or is he movin’ on?

He has another property or two on STJ. It is the one where he did his interview with Anderson Cooper. He has a nice view. The other property he sold because it was too accessible to the public (the rumor I heard anyway).

Teresa,
I thought the house he did the interview with Anderson in was the one on Lower PB before he sold it……..I do know (or have been told) that he has a home that is more secluded now, which makes complete sense

I’ve been told he also has a new home on Caneel Hill. I don’t know how true it is! As long as his publicity to the island doen’t make it commercialized - good for him - he deserves piece and quite!
