Gourmet soon come

The grand opening for the Starfish Market Gourmet Wine and Cheese store is November 5. We’re working on a tour. Stay tuned. In the meantime, here’s a peek inside. So much to tell. Here’s one tease. If you like olive oil, you’ll love something very cool and unusual about this store.

stj needs a whole foods market. i was surprised how few people on island care about not eating preservatives and hydrogenated fats and other bad, cancer causing foods. i find it hard to find any products to buy on island.

I guess I’m afraid to even guess what the prices will be–given the prices at the non-gourmet store.

Will they have pre-made yummy food for those of us who really don’t want to cook on vacation, but like having some meals at the villa to enjoy the views?

Funny, Bill. I was thinking the same thing. Ka-ching, Ka-ching. Oh well, if you’re on vacation the wallet is open anyway.

The problem is bigger if you live here…you start to think it’s normal to go to the store for 3 items and pay $35, which can lead to extravagant spending in other areas, since “it’s less than 3 items at Starfish”. It also might be easier to take if he hadn’t sold his Peter Bay house for 14 million bucks….
