Jeep Cam: North Shore Road, Part 2
Today, we leave Caneel Bay and continue on North Shore Road. We’ll drive until we get to Peace Hill (which is a good place to park and take a 5 minute hike to a very nice spot.) Not much to point out along the way, so enjoy the rain-slickened drive. North Shore Road, Part 2 below!

Hawksbill? … Correction, I the bay is called Hawksnest.
Thanks for the lovely ride no matter what you want to call it!However, don’t ever say St. Johns. peace.

Who else, on the hill out of Hawksbiill put their arms up in the air and yelled “WHEEEEEEEEEE”.
One problem here…i love the catchy little tune, but I have to go endure the Philadelphia Airport today.
Here’s my afternoon now:
da da da…da da
dadadadadadadada da
da da da…da da
Ugh

Love this jeep cam. You should trail cam down to Denis Bay from here. Loved the beach break of Denis a while back.

Hey guys, you forgot to point out Gibney/Oppenhimer Beach, it’s one of my favorites!
November 2nd, 2007 08:28
Great job guys! I was so happy when you got rid of that Chevrolet in front of you - it was taking away from the scenery. Thanks!
November 2nd, 2007 08:41
Love it! I checked in this morning just to see if North Shore Road part 2 would be up. Yeah!!! I can’t wait to see what’s next!

So when do you think we will be at Maho?
I am figuring we are headed to Maho then up to Coral Bay and then out to the E. End and head to Sloop Jones or Miss Vies?
Are you doing any chats with anyone while you are taking the drive? I figure you need to stop and refesh yourself and take care of business……..
You should talk to Stanley if he is at Maho what a great chat that would be?
Moe at Skinny’s or Jeff or his lovely lady at Jolly Dog……….just a suggestion

St. John - Gibney is one of my favorites too. As they were driving by, I thought the same thing as you. However, I’m kind of glad you didn’t point it out. Let’s keep it’s whereabouts a secret. shhhhh! Although I’m sure everyone on here knows where Gibney is. Great job guys. Can’t wait for the next one.

Hooray for Jeepcam. Almost as good as Beach Break, but not quite. What it does do is bring back pleasant memories of our drive out that way everyday back in July. Can’t wait to get back down there in April, even if it is for only one day. Keep Jeepcam comin’
November 2nd, 2007 16:09
Nice job! Looks pretty much the same as when I lived there and did a Maho dump truck cam in ‘85.
November 2nd, 2007 20:20

Great job with the “Jeep Cam”. My favorite feature thus far. Hubby and I look forward to future installments. We will be on island 11/23-12/1. Maybe you can make it to the Beach Bar Get-Together Sunday the 25th of November.

Great ride…TY….March 29th seems like an eternity away…but we soon come. As I watched the 1st time…I asked myself…will they or won’t they point out Gibney. Kudos for not…How ’bout a Hike Cam down to Denis. I hear it’s magical…had to ply a local with rum to tell me about it. TY for our STJ daily fix.

I just got married on St. John this past August, we had everything at a villa in Peter Bay. We drove this road so many times - it was great to see this. I loved watching it! I look forward to seeing what you have every week.
November 3rd, 2007 21:59
Loved every second! Can i hitch-hike back from Dallas?
November 4th, 2007 23:05
What a great video! Driving on STJ is so much fun. Thanks for letting us tag along.

LOVE the Jeep-Cam!!! It’s great getting an idea about the roads before we get there. Also seeing beaches, landmarks, Easter Rock, shops/restaurants etc. gives us a “working knowledge” of the island ahead of time.
Thank you for this….it’s great!
More Jeep-Cam!! it’ll keep me checking back for sure!
