No plastic chairs!
Chaliese Smith is a designer and a new St. Johnian by way of Texas. She hopes to carve out a business helping villas be all they can be. Meet Chaliese, and get a few ideas on how to plan your new villa or spruce up your old one. And we’ll show a few shots of some villas we think did a great job. Oh, and Chaliese agrees with us about the plastic patio furniture.

What a talented lady, and love her name!
I do think the toad trio belong at Bongo Bongo(hint, hint).

that’s a store? where is it?
maybe she can work on the seating at nearly every restaurant on STJ. some of the most uncomfortable stuff ever. it’s amazing to me that there’s not a comfortable chair for dining on that island. but maybe it’s just me
making STJ more beautiful. that’s a good job!

If ALL the villa owners who are holding on to their 1986 decor decided to update with Chaliese, she should make a killing!!! And we would have even a harder time choosing which villa to rent!
(If I did not have kids, that’s what I would love to do!)

Great interview. Where is she located? Would definitely consider her for my new house interior.

I’m sold. There are a lot of white boxes full of bad Florida-style furniture that need her help. I also like how she talks about designing a villa to make the best use of the breezes. When we build our villa, I know who to call.
