Villa Vittles: Grape Jelly Meatballs

Season Two’s theme was munchies kind of stuff that you can make during the day and chow on over cocktails at night. Episode One? A recipe submitted for Cocktail meatballs in chili sauce and grape jelly. No, really. Not bad!

We have a very similar recipe for cocktail weinies that combines the cocktail sauce with jellied cranberry sauce.

Say, how do you get invited to your “try out” parties??? Would certainly like to give my opinion of some “Villa Vittles” while on Island in July!

My computer won’t play your commentary–I can hear the music but not what you are saying. Is it just me?

    good afternoon
first, hope you enjoyed the football games!
second, my wife makes the same recipy for the
holidays, she learned it from her mother who has
made it for over 50 years. she only added a tsp
of lemon juice and served the meatballs in the sauce.
so you could roll the ball around in the sauce and
then pop it in your mouth…..
it is really tasty!! we also have another combination
for a meal that will make you think…
we have pork roll, fried homemade potatoes, applesauce
and cottage cheese. beleive me it is really good.
    have a great week

A great recipe—been doing it for many years.

Like the idea of including villa recipes on your site (am a daily visitor) and look forward to more.

PS: If only I could make the audio work on my home PC–any ideas?

We have a recipe box at our villa for people to write and share their own recipes… it’s fun to see what other people like to make!

Yummy!I’ve made these with frozen Trader Joe’s meatballs/turkey meatballs, with great results. I use shortcuts on vacation, more time at the beach!
