Another cool side trip from Reef Bay Trail is to a Great House off of the trail towards Lameshur. It's partly restored, and rather charming. There are also some other ruins along the way which still have a lot of "artifacts" (junk) scattered about... cooking pots and broken jars and stuff... evidence that people lived there not too long ago. Reef Bay Hike is much longer and you can take a side trail to the petroglyphs. I did it with the NPS. You can take the boat ride back to the dock.
