The most heavily protected 20 yards on the island

Not to stir up trouble, but aren’t they called patrol cars? This is a typical weekday afternoon. The entire police department staff at the station enjoying the air-conditioned HQ. Sometimes they have to double park just so they can all not patrol. Not to stir up trouble…

“heavily protected 20 yards” that topic should be up for debate!

I like that they are parked in the Handicap space all the time.

Probably a very important donut interrogation taking place…..

I find it funny that this post follows the one about “how high are you.”

Maybe you could let them see your footage/photos & ask for a comment???…could be interesting.

Looks like the right time to gas up the Jeep for that long anticipated JEEP CAM GONE WILD video!!!!!!
February 26th, 2008 12:03
Well if they’re not going to use them they might as well rent them. Think about it. You could park anywhere, stop and chat anywhere, and even supplement your vacation finances by issuing tickets for seat-belt violations.
February 26th, 2008 12:11
On the other hand, think how much gas they’re saving.
February 26th, 2008 12:53
Shhhhh! Don’t disturb them. If they’re not there, they’re giving out seatbelt and parking tickets.

That is the by product of the Homeland Security funding- or over funding in this case!! Obviously they are very busy looking for the people who broke into my house and stole my TV’s etc. they even took my toaster!! I could be wrong but I don’t think you need Andy Cipowicz to figure it out on an island of 4000!!!

it’s like they’re procreating!….When I left island they were older and only 2 or 3 there.
of course, it would be funnier if st.john was still the sleepy island of only 10 years ago - I remember the big news in the police blotter the year I arrived was a woman reported a donkey following her home on a dark road & scaring her!

Sarah,
My island sources tell me Russ and Jeff have begun filming the JEEP CAM GONE WILD video…here’s a sneak peek of what they’ve shot so far….
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z_0EaOO7OFc
I haven’t been on St. John since ‘89 and my memory isn’t what it used to be…can anyone identify the locations throughout the clip??? Does the final scene take place in Cruz Bay…or…maybe Choclate Hole???

HAY,MAYBE THEY WERE AT THE GYM
THEY ALL NEED IT,NO MORE UNCLE JOE’S RIBS GUYS

Maybe it was a shift change.

And so conveniently located right across the street from the schoolyard and the corner where the boys sell pot and crack…sort of bizarre.

…interesting…if there were any seriousnous about what’s going on in the VI you’d have published the photo of (mugged) Chris Schatzman right underneath all the parked squad cars. But that would REALLY be edgy, huh? Wouldn’t want to put anyone off.
Next week, Dear Reader, an interview with Jamie Cockayne’s parents!
Don’t bother. Just shill for the villa, and keep up the facade of normalcy in the Territory.
Come on down ya’ll, it’s all happy all the time!

The law enforcemnet (or selective law enforcement!) certainly is beyond frustrating as you can tell by my post. I think they need to elevate their game to keep the tourism business strong- the lifeblood of the island as they seem to forget sometimes. In Russ and Jeff’s defense this is not the forum for that, you should be railing (and justifiably) on the local papers down there. I love this site for the upbeat nature as an alternative to my 1 murder a day Baltimore Sun!!!

SteveV…LMAO! I’m pretty sure the command outpost was Caneel!
