Why is Café Roma for sale?

Personal opinion, there is no better pizza on the island, maybe anywhere, than Café Roma. So… we’re sitting there a couple of nights ago getting one to go (the new 9 incher, instead of the ‘feed us twice” large) and we spy Joshlynn Crosley, the owner, who is almost always there. So this time we just ask. “Joshlynn! Why are you trying to sell this place?” A teenage daughter, an aging mother and something called permaculture were the answers.    They have THE BEST, BEST, BEST pizza on the island, their entrees are mouth watering also! If I had the money to move my family to St. John (have considered several times in the past two years) I would love to buy Cafe Roma. Well, hang tight, I need my pizza in July!!!

   I spent some fun times on island working for Josh. She is a great person and I really would like someone to buy the restaurant and keep it exactly the same.
   I will be eating Penne Roma in 79 days.

   I LOVE Cafe Roma!
   Great write up - this would be such a great place to buy and comes with such a great reputation. My biggest disappointment is that I was recently diagnosed gluten intolerant! No wheat, pasta, flour….arrrrh! No more Roma on my visits

    nothing against cafe roma, the pizza is damn good…but i think that you should reconsider that “maybe anywhere”… next time you’re in chicago, email me and you’ll taste the best pizza anywhere! i’m half tempted to buy it myself. pizza’s the one thing i know well and could contribute to the island

    I think they could sell stickers that say “I’d rather be at Cafe Roma’s in St. John”. I have a photo of my hubby at Roma’s eating his first piece of Roma’spizza since our previous visit (about 8 years before this one). I’m trying to figure out how to post it here. Suddenly that Easter meal I’m planning doesn’t seem so tasty after all. Now all I want is a Roma’s pizza! Then maybe a chocolate bunny for desert!

    For me and my family cafe roma is the best pizza anywhere. No never had Chicago pizza,but we love CR pizza.
