Jeep Cam: Boatman Point

Here’s another great, quiet South shore neighborhood. Off South Shore Road, just before Gifft Hill Road, is Boatman Point off to your right. Look for the mailboxes. We’ll start there and end at a beautiful, private home with a shiny blue roof you can see from surrounding hillsides.

What a ride! That was great, the flowers were in bloom, the views were breathtaking and the weather was beautiful. What a way to start the day! Thanks!

That was my walking route in January! Aren’t the views awesome!! We stayed at Rendezvous Cottage which is by the white fence right at the start - wish I were there now…..

I wish the blue roof people would have opened the gates and let you in! I wasn’t ready for it to end. Sigh. Back to rainy 40-degree reality. Will have a painkiller tonight to put me there…

I got a chuckle out of the stop and deliberate pan. I like to think that was your response to those who have written that they wish you would show more than the road.

Marcia and I have had our eye (eyes?) on the blue-roofed villa for years…sure wish it was for rent.

    Nice job, once again

IMO,the best jeep-cam yet. As Pete mentioned, the stop for the view was great. Much better than just looking at the pavement & trees. Keep it up!

What a great ride. We know the folks that own that beautiful blue roofed villa. Even spent some time there last May. It’s a gorgeous home! Wish they would rent it out, but they don’t NEED to………

    Jan and Mike,

You have stayed at the blue roof villa? OMG. As Pete said, we have been so curious about that villa for years. When we stay at Vistaero with our kids, we look down on it. Last summer, we did this drive, in search of the villa. Lovely drive. Lovely villa.

Ok, I just gotta say I’ve been waiting for this video FOREVER!! The house at the very end of this video, that is next to the blue roof house is the turquoise blue roof house, Sanctuary. http://www.sanctuarystjohn.com/

Fabulous, wonderful house that IS for rent and the owners live on the island and have figured it all out. The walkway at the end of the video leads down to a pebble beach and great snorkeling.

We have stayed there twice and it is our favorite most wonderful house to stay in. Pool, hot tub, beach, outside stereo system and privacy! No offense ;) .

    Thanks for the trip!

    Jen
