Beach Break: Ditleff Beach
There’s always some discussion about how to properly get to this beach. Can you drive into Ditleff? If not, where can you park? Is it a long hike? We don’t have the answers because we have friends with boats and friends with boats can take you just about anywhere. And the only thing better than friends with boats, is friends with a boat and a dog. Ditleff Beach, and our favorite boat dog, Maddie, below….

Thanks Guys,
A fantastic way to start a morning. A beautiful beach, a playful pup enjoying the water and the music was so peaceful. A perfect combination. I can’t wait till Sept. when we come back.

What a great way to spend the day. The beach is beautiful but sharing it with a dog like Maddie makes it look even better. Thanks!

good morning
awesome job guys, again.
when i was there last year, you can drive right into ditleff point on a concrete road, park on the side,
and go to the small beaches.
until all the homes go up and they put a gate in…
i really is a beautiful view of stj from the end
of ditleff point.
have a great week

I come into the office every morning. Put away my stuff, check my voicemail, check my e-mail then I go to on-stjohn.com to get my daily dose of inspiration. It never fails me! Then and only then can I go on about the rest of my day. Today was an exceptional dose!

We stopped there last week after Vies beach and lunch at Skinney Legs. Drive in and park take the stone steps down and it leads directly to the beach shown. We saw some dogs there too. Snorleking was good saw a 5″ stingray. Beach is a bit rocky the ladies didn’t go for it too much, still a beach all to yourself and cold Presidentes is to be appreciated.
We also saw the spot just outside of Ditleff where the Trackhoe when off a 60 foot cliff and into the water apparently the operator is ok he jumped out

Dog’s are great! Beaches are great! Fecal coliform…not so great. Please scoop everytime.
Ugly point I know - especially after such a beautiful beach break. But’s it’s lost on well intended people I see all the time down here.

That brought tears to my eyes. It’s been 11 years since we had to put our yellow lab down (cancer) and I still miss her. Maddie looks so much like her.

Ahhh, this was great! Nice under water doggie paddle footage.

Was Maddie chasing fish??? Can’t wait to see her swimming with Tigger!…I’m not trying to be a match-maker here…just thought the two of them would have fun swimming:o))

The sight of Maddie brought tears to my eyes. She looks so much like our Sophie, who also loved to swim. Sophie died 3 weeks ago at the tender age of 6 months while undergoing spaying surgery. God bless Maddie and may she have many years swimming in those beautiful waters. I remember her picture looking out the porthole of the sail boat.
