Jeep Cam: Marina Drive, Part One

We’ll start today’s drive heading down the hill past Point Rendezvous. Upper Fish Bay Road turns into Marina Drive past Ditliff Point after the sharp turn and steep hill down. We’ll go as far as the little wooden bridge today.

Thanks man! I’m suffering from St. John withdrawal this morning, so I decided to check out what’s new on this site and to my delight I found your video!! I live in gloomy NYC but thanks to you I got my little fix of St. John heaven for the day ;)
    Thanks!

I liked that road much better when the lower drive was dirt. Heck I liked it better when the upper part was dirt, too. But, I’m glad that the turn by Ditliff is paved. That can be a tough turn to negotiate, especially after a night at the Beach Bar.

Are you going to take us as far as the “freak out” road and the “you are here” sign? Please, oh please.

Good stuff. This is a great feature. Fish Bay is the only area on the island where I’ve managed to get turned around and more or less lost. Every time I go back towards Reef Bay there is more and more road paved. It seems like a different spot these days.

Something I’d love to see is a segment on the local fruits and bush food. What is a genip or a guavaberry?

    Cheers, RickG

    Cool.
We were at Oleander last month, which is on a right turn just before the steep curve down to the left. Walking back up that hill from Ditleff Beach is a killer. Should have pack donkeys for hire.
    Thanks.

Thanks for bringing back fond memories! We’ve stayed at Casa Del Sol (very first villa on the right) several times and we used to run this road. It was hard running down but was nice and flat at the bottom (and yes, it used to be dirt). The return home was KILLER but then you felt justified to drink as much as you wished the rest of the day.

    hello
    awesome-
the turn past the wooden bridge is the way to croix vista, if i’m not mistaken.
i think there are drawings on the bridge and
a monument next to the pole.
it also looks like they put up a wall at the
    entrance to ditliff point.
    have a great week.

With those outstanding ocean views and my short attention span…if I were driving The Jeep Cam Jeep…I’m afraid the Jeep would resemble the mangled mess from March 27!
I was wondering, if we ran all the Jeep Cam clips back to back (a Jeep Cam Film Fest)…how much of the island would be covered???
