If we can make the 4:00 ferry, occasional/expensive usually wins. Thanks for the FerryCam. (Thanks to Jeff and Russ) There's still that view as one comes into the harbor at Cruz Bay that instanly sets the tone and mood of arriving on the Rock. That being said, having all our stuff in the car already and not schleping it 3 or 4 times to get it to the villa is Priceless.
