There goes the kitchen
You can’t have a restaurant without a kitchen, and from the looks of it, it doesn’t look like someone has stepped forward at the last minute to bring back Subway.
The shack’s lease is no longer listed for sale, either. Too bad. It’d make a great Woody’s annex. Woody’s South.
This guy is leaving with a nice oven. His wife would probably be happier with the home version.

That oven is bigger than my whole kitchen.

Hi Ruth. I see no one posted today besides you. Maybe everyone is having a Memorial Day cookout instead of reading this blog. Anyway,
That’s an oven I don’t need. Why rush a good cook? Turkey in 45 minutes? No thanks.

That “shack’s” last incarnation was a bank! I remember the old Beanery there and V I Aids (The Apothecary). RIP Miss Apple. What will the evolution of St. John bring?

Let’s hope REAL caribbean food … of all the restaurants in cruz bay, not one (as far as I know) serves caribbean cuisine … rhumbline MAYBE, but that’s a stretch. Joe’s diner and hucules is about it and that place (truck) on centerline is as close as you get unless you want to drive to Vie’s snack shack and get an ice cold pate and a hot red stripe.

Hey Mike – try Sogos in Cruz Bay for REAL caribbean food. The lady who owns it is from Dominica and serves excellent Caribbean cuisine and its not very expensive, especially for how much food you get. She is very nice to chat with and serves some good tropical fruit juices as well.
