So much for resale value

We’re guessing Jen isn’t interested in selling her Wrangler anyway. No vanity plate, but it’s Virgin Islands slapped all over the rest of it. She wants a vanity plate though, and says she wants it to say “PIRETTE.”
Jen Coffman lives in Clear Lake, Iowa which is a long way from St. John. How far? Getting your mail in Cruz Bay in January looks nothing like this.

Iowa is a he**- hole pretty much year-round. Freeze in the winter with blistering winds off the plains and unbearably bake in the summer. You gotta be from Iowa to love Iowa. I’de be dreaming of STJ everyday in the winter too.

Ahh…but Iowa is one of the most beautiful states in the nation. From the rolling, green bluffs along the Missouri to the rocky cliffs along the Mississippi, and you won’t find better people anywhere. Iowa is like St. John! But colder half the year and hotter half the year, and with corn and occasional snow instead of sea and sand.

I like this gal! Same last name as me, like her Jeep, like all the stickers showing her love for STJ, heck I even like some things about Iowa! My sister has called the Cedar Rapids area home for 40 some years. Yep the weather extremes are drastic but it does have it’s appeal, except for their recent tragedy. Who knew the Cedar River would change so many people’s lives!
Beautiful photo Jeff! Parts of Iowa remind me of the Lancaster PA area.
Thanks

Lived in Clear Lake for 10 years, met and married my husband there. Love it.
Born in OK and I can tell you that the summer in Iowa is MUCH better. I’d even take an Iowa winter over an OK ice one anyday - then again I live in MN now
And what better way to appreciate an escape to St John?

Ewww gross! I never expected to see a picture on THIS site of cold, nasty white stuff (aka snow) piled high. Bring back the beach breaks! Or the jeep cam… anything but more pictures of snow.
