News Flash: JJ’s, Joes reopen

The health inspectors are satisfied and have finally shown up to say so. Joes’s Diner reopened Tuesday afternoon. JJ’s Texas Coast re-opened its doors this morning. Grouper burger, anybody?

Ah, the power of suggestion. Mention a JJ’s grouper burger and I have to go have one. It was great.
Rob is out sailing with Captain Phil on the Wayward Sailor, but he is planning a lengthy visit at JJ’s after the boat trip.

my first carib went down in a slug and a half. No conch fritters today though, but the onion rings were as great as we remembered.

Ruth stopped bu to check on us.

I’ve never had the conch fritters at JJ’s. Somehow I missed that over our many visits to St. John. The best I’ve ever had were at the Staniel Cay Yacht Club (Staniel Cay, Bahamas), so I’m curious to know if the JJ’s recipe is “all that!” I don’t need much of an excuse to come back to STJ. Fritters at JJ’s could just BE that excuse for my next trip :)
