Lime Inn is open and the Fishin’ is good

The Lime Inn is open for lunch and dinner again, and there’s lots of local fish on the menu.
“The fish are running right now, and the fishermen are calling, says Lime Inn’s Chris Meyer. “Lots of local mahi and tuna.”
No real changes to the Lime Inn menu this season. Wednesday is still All You Can Eat shrimp night, and they’re making sure they’ve got lots of fresh lobster. New this year, but not on the menu…Alaskan king crab legs.
So what’s the outlook for high season in this lousy economy?
“We’ve been here for 25 years and we do our best to keep our loyal customers coming back, both tourists and locals,” Chris tells us. “We’re not pessimistic about the season at all.”

Lime Inn has been our favorite restaurant on the island for the past 8 years. Love the food and love the personal attention from Chris. What a sweetheart!! We certainly wish her a wonderful season. She deserves it.

I just returned from my annual 2 weeks on St John. For the first time in all these years we could not eat at the Lime Inn. It just was not the same. I hope that it will not be closing every October.

I just love The Lime Inn. I don’t get to eat dinner there nearly as often as I’d like to, but we have lunch there (usually takeout) at least once a week. You can’t go wrong with the chicken special. Or the grilled fish. Or the lobster….
It’s nice that you can have dinner at the Ficus Bar in the courtyard now.
I wish Chris and Rich and all the staff the best this season.
