Jeep Cam: Reef Bay Road
We always get lost out here. Somewhere along the way, the Fish Bay neighborhood becomes the Reef Bay neighborhood. But if you find Reef Bay Road, you are on your way to the top of the mountain. This road goes past the spectacular Half Moon House, and keep an eye out for that house with the green roof. The Reef Bay Coastal Hike trail is right past it, at the utility pole. We’ll go pretty far, but sorry, no 4-wheelin’ today.
(PS: Look over on the right hand advertising rail. By popular request, download the JeepCam theme!)

I have only been as far as Half Moon. That was far enough. The whole ride out from Great Cruz Bay taxed my AtS muscle. You know…Ankle to Sphincter. The muscle you use while careening down hills on St John in a Jeep with 4 bald tires and no breaks. It’s the one that keeps your bathing suit clean. That one.

I am pretty sure I am never driving on that road!

Been a long time since last jeep cam, thanks for posting this one. Tight squeeze past that dump truck it seems and were those the brakes I heard squealing? Must have been exciting going back down.

Great JeepCam but I think that I will stay away from that road in very rainy weather.
On another topic, do you guys know why the webcam of Cruz Bay on “gotostjohn.com” is off the air ? That camera was my excape from the real world. I hope that the new one is up soon because Boston is getting colder by the day and I need the escape……

Parker, I know EXACTLY what you are talking about! Ha! He loves to expose himself, and strolls the beach looking for “shells”. He sure has a good tan.

Great Jeep Cam, and thanks for the music. I played it for my kids and they said “I know that song!”. I told them, “that’s because I was whistling it every time we went for a drive on St John last March”. Now it’s in my iPod, so I can listen to it as I plow through the snow and slush on I-90 on my way to work.

Man, I love the Jeep Cams. Just watched this again three times and let my kids drive. They almost hit that one guy (sorry) and I didn’t think they’d make it by the truck (they did). It was fun going up the smooth part, but once we got to the gravel road we decided to back up and enjoy the view. Gonna do it again in a minute…
