Roundabout work progresses

The Dolphin Market overpass has been completed, and the Centerline Road cloverleaf is on schedule for dedication next month.

Once completed, the next project will be widening North Shore Road to include HOV lanes, inbound in the morning, outbound afternoons.

I can see it now rental jeeps with gps telling people, take exit 26 (chocolate hole) off Territory Highway 95. Stay in the left lane and merge onto Rte 30 driveway on right 155 feet.

It is still easier to say go past the Westin turn left at the dumpster and it is the driveway past the big rock but before the house with the carport.

I can only assume Joe Jackson is responsible for the signage. Hey Joe, which exit do we take for the Coral Bay airport?

Any word yet on whether the Senate Committee on Transporation has voted to set the Centerline Rd toll rates at .50 or .75?

Will they have to tear down all or any part of downtown Cruz Bay to build the cloverleaf? If so, just tell them to leave St. John Spice and Courtesy Car Rental.

This is how traffic should be on any Caribbean island…(I think this incident occurred on St. John somewhere near exit 15, just past the truck stop but before the Cracker Barrel):

Wouldn’t this bus qualify for the High Occupancy Vehicle lane:o)

What in the world is that???

I though that we were in the Caribean; not on the way to New York City. Come on, is the signage really necessary? Could it be down played a little to resenble something less industrial on such rural road(s)?

By the way, I just got up the courage this past summer after 20+ years to rent a car and drive the island, now, I have to worry if I am on the right road at the right time of the day?

Well, hopefully something good comes of all of this! I don’t know what?

Is this the first exit on St. John after crossing the bridge to nowhere from Red Hook?

And I thought the crossing guard by Woody’s was scary…

The Thanksgiving traffic will be better with the cloverleaf, but how will the Federal government import ice and snow? Remember bridges freeze before the road…..
