New place for your morning fix

You might recognize Missy Bergene from her days as Barista at Every Ting. You might also recognize the equipment. Colette Rethage, owner of I Scream in Wharfside Village, bought up the coffee equipment and menu from Every Ting and Missy came along with it.

“I’m currently doing the espresso bar from 6:30 to noon, and I’ll have regular coffee, hot and iced, as well as iced espresso and chai drinks the rest of the day,” says Colette. “I’m also selling my beans, which are roasted as I order them and are made specifically for my coffee menu.”

She also has muffins, Danish, cookies and…Pop Tarts!…as well as juices in the morning.

This new addition is part of a big renovation I Scream just completed. Colette also has big plans for her other shop, across from the National Park dock.

If coffee’s not your thing, there’s still plenty of soft serve ice cream, Hebrew National hot dogs and nachos, and also new this season, Slush Puppies. “I bought an authentic Slush Puppie Machine and I’ve got Slush Puppies and Slush Puppie floats too.”

   And I Scream is conveniently located right across from Joe’s Rum Hut… so the kids can get their ice cream and eat it on the counter next to the bar while mom and dad enjoy a lovely rum drink. And the view. Every time we went to town, I Scream was our first stop.

   I think I recognize Missy from when she worked at the coffee bar at the Gallows Point Gift Shop. She made us some awesome iced latte’s while we were there in October of 07.

   Does this mean no coffee at Everyting? This is bad. We loved our morning strolls to Gallows this year for coffee. That extra 300 yds to Wharfside is probably a deal breaker for the Mrs. What about Sue Brandi? She was also doing barista duty at everyting while we were there.

   Sue is working at the Westin last I heard. When I was on island in early Nov, I was told that no more coffee at Gallows/Everyting that Brenda sold it all to Colette…..

   The lady at Every Ting told us that the coffee business didn’t do as well when they moved it up to Gallows. She also was disappointed because a large shipment of tee shirts had gone AWOL. I hope things improve for her. It was a super shop when it was next to Banana Deck.

    Hi Helen – We never found our missing shipment so are vender re printed and shipped fedex them to us. Every-ting is alive and well and have many tee shirts. So if you missed the STJ or Beaches we have them and can mail order to you.
