The artist versus the iPhone

Coral Bay artist Cheryl Geller submits yet another stunning photo, this one of a real, live, digitally untouched East End Rainbow. We also like this sunset photo taken by On-StJohn.com reader Tiffany Thomas, from Vida de Mar on Dever’s Bay.
While Cheryl fussed with f-stop and exposure, Tiffany snapped hers with her iPhone. (And Tiffany can check her email, surf the ‘net and shake the Urban Spoon.)

They are both incredibly beautful and it makes me wish I was there…. Cold and icky here in NJ!!

Both are exquisite. But my guess is Cheryl didn’t have a great deal of time to fuss with her f-stop and exposure. Rainbows are so very difficult to catch. She did a marvelous job.

Those photos just make ya wanna sing…
Somewhere over the rainbow, skies are blue, and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true!
Someday I’ll wish upon a star,
and wake up in St. John so far down south from me.
Where troubles melt like Cruzan shots,
above the Bordeaux Mountain tops,
that’s where you’ll find me!

That’s the best rainbow photo I’ve ever seen! Both shots are amazing. I’ll trade our winter wonderland for that any day.
