Lindy, the marionette
David Leo Morley, whose puppets were mainstays at Festival years ago, returned to visit St. John this winter after a 10 year absence.
We met him in the Cruz Bay park, where he was entertaining kids with his marionette, named, respectfully, years ago, after his old friend, Lindy.
Meet David, and Lindy the marionette, below!

Thank you David, Jeff and Russ. I loved this video. It was a fine tribute to Lindy. There is something magical about the curiosity and wonder on the children’s faces.
Now I think I better go check on Rob. He has that “nightmare jet fuel” puppet thing going on.

I love the puppet and that fact that it’s named after Lindy. Do you know where people could get one if they wanted one??
XOXO

Good to see David again. Still have my (Lindy) marionette with original clothes (more authentic that way after 10 years+)
He’s been quite a conservation piece hanging in my living room.
Hope the vendors do well during the arts & crafts festival.

I’m gonna be nice because this is a nice story…but, as Ruth implied, puppets scare me. I have to go now because I think my hotel room is alive.

I’m with Rob, marionettes kind of creep me out. They’re not as bad as mimes, but pretty darn close.

That is such a thoughtful and fun way to remember Lindy.
Thank you for sharing that story.

Great story, guys. Love to be entertained and informed at the same time. This was one of my favorite videos so far.
