Zuber claims 6th 8 Tuff Miles victory

St. John resident Jeremy Zuber won this morning’s 8 Tuff Miles road race for the sixth year in a row. The 28 year old crossed the finish line in Coral Bay in 49 minutes, 35 seconds, just shy of his finish time last year.
On his heels, 31 year old Court Lilly from Cincinnati, finishing in second place at 50 minutes, 20 seconds. And third place to 43 year old Andy Cherry, from Philadelphia, at 55 minutes, 30 seconds.
First place among women was 46 year old Heather Gracie, from Peapack, New Jersey finishing the race in 1 hour, 3 minutes, 40 seconds.

I just sat here and did the math; roughly 6 minute miles.
Damn…that’s fast on flat pavement. Which is harder, maintaining that speed on the ups or not falling ass over teakettle on the downs?
I think I could walk it at an even clip, but I don’t run.

The only things that would make me run that far (but not that fast) would be:
1) the police…

I agree with Steve about the spiders!
I went and looked at the photos and saw my best friend’s son. Can not wait to find out he did this year. He was 12th overall last year at 15! The weather up here has been horrible this year to train in. Right now it is 18 with snow. Yuck!
