Stay between the lines

Roundabout work continues to progress. They’re not kidding about this thing.
New blacktop and some temporary lines and arrows are designed to help traffic flow through construction. And the old Texaco station is now officially something that makes you an old-timer if you remember it.

Wow! It won’t be the same! It looks like something is missing. Well, hope this is for the better.
Have a great Monday!

Wow…I found myself looking at the picture with my head cocked to the side…trying to imagine what’s now where.
I’ll say that I’m somewhat amazed that they haven’t abandoned the project yet.

I wonder how you get to Dolphin?

Proud to be an old timer.

Stay within the lines? How un-St John!

I gotta be honest and say I have no idea what I’m looking at here (it’s been a while!). Am I looking up toward Don Schnell’s place and toward South Shore rd?

oh no… I think I’m looking up Centerline. Man am I confused! Help me! C

I know no one is ever in a hurry in STJ, but it sure is taking a LONG time to build a relatively small round-about

mbw – you are looking up Centerline. Dolphin Market is on the left and the old Texaco would have been in the center/right. But you knew that!
We, too, are proud to be old timers. That Texaco was a great landmark and it will be hard not to use it still. If this roundabout works, it will be an amazing milestone in VIDPW history!I’m amazed at their diligence.

Well, I am proud to be an old-timer…and a new-timer! I used the new asphalt today for the first time! Traffic up Centerline uses the “old” road. Coming toward town…you get new! I may watch the traffic tomorrow night…instead of the football game!
Should be entertaining!
