Airport update: No bumps, new shinies

You’ll notice something’s missing on the way to the airport. The torturous series of speed bumps along the airport road are gone.
And since that means you will get to the airport a couple of minutes sooner now, why not spend that time at yet another duty-free addition past security and inside the gate area.
Next to the recently opened duty free store with booze and perfume is the Cardow Jewelry kiosk. It would be a shame to go home with any money left over.

Do you mean some people actually go home with money left over?!?

I’m holding out for some Schiphol Amsterdam style amenities – nothing like getting a back rub from a professional during your layover.

Damn! They are really getting smart about the marketing opportunities!!

If they were really smart, they would bring back the smoking area and charge admission.

Another change: All of the Coral Bay business signs on the corner of center line road and 107 have been removed. According to one local, the Moravian church ordered the mremoved and want to charge the business for signage of a new display yet to be built (the Moravian church owns that land).
Those famous landmark signs were removed last thurday even though the new signa structure has yet to be built. A woman at the tourist trap had a model of what the new sign posts would look like – more commercial than the previous signs and less “coral bay like” as well.

Pete, just do what Bug does and go to the bathroom for a smoke.

Mike, wow, that was rather obscure and on a different subject but hey, good point nonetheless. If the Moravian Church can’t be a “for profit” organization than who can? God only knows we need more “professional” looking signage for Coral Bay.
I think I’ll make a 10×20 billboard with flourescent lighting for the Tourist Trap. What do you think Larry?
