If you haven’t snorkeled at Turtle Bay on Buck Island St. Thomas, put it on your list for your next boat trip. On this day, the coral was healthy and teeming with fish, and Turtle Bay also lived up to its name.
Put on your mask and fins, and check it out, below…

Snorkeling with turtles is the best dude! Beautiful video, what was it filmed with (not the goggle cam, I’m sure) I could watch that for hours…or better yet, go to the bay and do it for hours. Thanks so much for this!
Now how am I supposed to get any work done today?!?!?! I can practically taste the salt water and feel the burn in my eyes…
The first time I saw a sea turtle on St. Thomas, I freaked and swam the opposite direction thinking it would come after me…(I’m from Indiana and we don’t have a lot of contact with sea turtles) when I realized what a wimp I was, I swam back to try and find the turtle but it was gone…
Is it just me or does anyone else envy the life of a sea turtle in the Caribbean? You pretty much spend your days lazing around in the beautiful water munching grass at a very laid back pace.
I am hoping to see the very same thing with my own eyes come Monday. (But off of one of STJ’s beaches). Thank you for giving me such a great preview of things to come. The music was very enjoyable also.
Thanks J. Lowe. I enjoyed the video but I couldn’t help thinking “why would you go over to STT when you have the same thing here in any number of our bays?” Either way, enjoy your stay!
