Beach Break: The other Honeymoon Beach
After many curious years, we finally got to Water Island recently, and discovered its Honeymoon Beach. It’s a beautiful beach! Complete with a generator-powered rum hut.
Captain Brandi will tell you all about Water Island in a couple of days, but first, visit Water Island’s Honeymoon Beach for a minute or two, below!

That’s a sweet spot! U.S.V.I. or B.V.I.?

Are they developing Water Island now for villas and such, or is it mainly a place for bare boaters to moor for the night?
How was the snorkeling over there?

Seeing this makes me feel sorry for my niece and her soon-to-be-husband who opted for Antigua after passing on St. John for their honeymoon next week…I don’t see how it could get any better than this footage…..I doubt if Antigua has generator-powered rum huts…
Would this be considered a Shot of Brandi “prequel”?

Water Island is very cool. It is one of the USVI islands and is a very laid back cool place to hang out. There is a ferry that leaves from Crown Bay Marina every hour or hour and a half. So you can just hang out at Tickles until the next ferry leaves. Heidi’s Honeymoon Grill serves fabulous beach lunch and dinner. So definitely check it out if you’re on STT.

I can’t wait for Cap’t Brandi to sprinkle a little more “Marblehead Magic” on us. I am sure his insight on Water Island will be enlightening as always!

No! no! Our secret is out. Tell no one else about Water Island! We go there before we come over to StJ – I will share no information, not about Heidi’s Restaurant, not about the lending library, and not about the snorkling. It is what StJ was decades ago. No plans to build anything else….not enough water to build too much. I especially will not tell you about the ecocampground that the Quade’s own. Please, please do not tell anyone else about Water Island!
