Give it time! I once put out a small bookcase. It was gone in no time but then came back several hours later. Later that same day it disappeared for good. Guess you should take a measuring tape with you while dumpster diving!

Some nearby neighbors were trying to get the Dumpsters moved up on Gifft Hill and were calling everybody to get on board. I simply had to tell the woman that if the Dumpsters moved I would actually have to purchase things for my house. I realize that the dump isn’t too far away, but they don’t let anyone go in there and pick around. I like the Dumpster right where it is…close enough to wheel a grill down the hill to my house. Perhaps the people in the area can set up a trash picking date/schedule instead.
And for the record…most of us Dumpster divers ventilation systems are windows. If you put a window out there…I promise that would be there for no more than 3 seconds.

The thought was good but very few of us have ductwork. If we have central air it is usually with split systems.
Try putting out a chair or an old BBQ grill. I’ll give it 15 minutes at best.

This item may have been in great shape but a bit restricted in use by size and current need. Also, it sort of looked like it was a part of something else. Whereas a chair…well, one size fits all who need to sit down.

Next time, save it until you make your annual trip past Bordeaux Customs and down into Co’l Bay where the dumpster yard is the biggest in the Caribbean (nestled nicely in nature’s own “debris colecting” mangroves.)
Almost everything is gone in 10 minutes, and if not, no one goes out of their way to judge another person’s “contribution”. That vent grill would easily have been used, tied to the top of a beach chair as a personal sun diffuser (always health conscious out in the Large Bay.)
Co’l Bay…total freedom. (none o’ that uppity/city/over-developed attitude like out west. But that’s just a shack-dwellers opinion.)
