Linda, hinges aren’t too bad to replace. Is your laptop an HP? Usually those are the hinges that break. You can find replacements on eBay the easiest. You need to take apart your screen and remove the bezel above your keyboard. There are screws holding on the LCD bezel around the front. There may be screws holding on the keyboard bezel – just take out the battery and look for any screws with a rectangular picture next to them. Once I do a video, it will be much easier to see what I mean. When the bezels are off, it’s just a matter of swapping out the broken hinges for the new ones. As for the 6-disk changer, I have found it’s cheaper to get a new one than to repair the original unit.

Looking at the amount of cash my teenage daughter pulls in babysitting…you may want to rethink your generosity… she’s been looking at Bongo Bongo waiting for the FOR SALE signs to go up…she says she’s going to pay cash with her babysitting money….:)
