Using Facebook for St. John marketing

Viva! Vacations is the latest St. John business to fire up a Facebook page to capitalize on social networking, and they think it’s a good idea for several reasons.

“We set up the Facebook page to quickly spread timely information, to gather insights from island visitors, to discuss ideas for change and to provide a place where our loyal client base can share their vacation photos,” Viva! Sales manager Sherrolyn Stapleton tells us.

And it is already working for them.

“Within the first day, fan feedback gave us insights to needed changes that matter to our clientele and we were able to incorporate them fast.”

More villa management companies should do this. Facebook is free advertising.

   and before you know it, …. we have another St Thomas…congested and over populated by tourists….thinking its like St Thomas. Then they will need to make room for that 5 story parking garage.

    A Facebook search of “St. John USVI” yields quite a few legit sites. My favorite is the “Skinny Legs is the center of all awesomeness” Facebook page.
