Tennis Courts makeover This is Mario Mason. He works for Caribbean Courts on St. Croix and travels all around the Caribbean re-surfacing sports courts, and St. John is on his list this week. In addition to resurfacing, the Cruz Bay tennis courts are getting new paint and new lights. The project is being funded by the Department of Housing, Parks & Recreation. Mario’s next stop? Wow! I newer knew that there was a tennis court on St. John. I do know about the basketball courts – how could I miss a tennis court???

Debbie, they are right near the fire station! I don’t know how you could miss them. Right off the road. The Westin also has about 6 turf tennis courts which are really fun to play on.

A big THANK YOU to Mario – this is a long overdue project. I hope both courts will be kept maintained for now on.

I saw Mario hard at work on the basketball court when I went by there today. It will be much nicer for the kids to play ball there when he’s finished.
