Changes in the works at Lime Inn

Popular Cruz Bay restaurant The Lime Inn is getting a new look. Owners Rich and Chris Meyer are taking advantage of a little down time to make some changes, which include the concrete columns you see formed up here. Four columns will be topped with a big trellis and lots of plants.
“We think it will make the entrance more inviting as you walk by on the street, and make you want to come up and have a drink at the bar,” Chris tells us. “You’ll feel like you’re walking into a garden setting.”
Chris and Rich have owned the restaurant since 1984…when it had six tables and a tiny bar in the back. They’ve made several changes over the years, but Chris says this is their first major addition in about five years.

It should look great and keep things hopping. And you have to have the Lime Inn for the all you can eat shrimp Wednesdays! One of my favorites!

I sat at the bar waiting for the music at Fred’s one night. Two tourists were really impressed with the ficus tree in the middle. I commented that it looked real “doesn’t it?”. “You mean it isn’t?” I then went on to tell them that it was a prop from Disney World as they changed one of their theme parks. The tree frogs were a tape. Hehehehe. Hey, low season, we have to do something to entertain ourselves.

I don’t think that The Lime Inn needs to change anything!!! In my opinion, it is the BEST restaurant on the island. The frendly greeting that Rich calls you by name is that personal touch! By the way, the food is excellent! My daughter goes there every year for her Birthday dinner. What else can I say??? Improvements are material, personal effects makes or brakes a business! Keep up the great customer TLC!
